Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Shadola collects, why, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the product, and we are deliberately careful with your voice.

Your microphone & audio

We capture audio only when you tap the record button — never passively or in the background. Recorded audio is used to score your pronunciation and is then discarded. We do not keep it unless you explicitly opt in to save a recording for your own review, and we never store raw audio in analytics.

What we collect

Account information you provide when signing up (name, email) is handled by our authentication provider. We record basic product usage (lessons practiced, scores, feature use) to power your dashboard and improve the service. For abuse-prevention and rate-limiting we store a hashed form of your IP address — never the raw IP.

Payments

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by our payment provider. We receive your plan and billing status; we do not store full card details on our servers.

Cookies & analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, and privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage. These do not identify you personally.

Your rights

You can export your data or delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deleting your account removes your personal data from our active systems. If you are in a region covered by GDPR or similar laws, you also have the right to access, correct, and restrict processing of your data.
